The GROH Mission is:

"To support the achievement of Government's objectives by providing Government employees with suitable and appropriate housing in country areas."

The GROH Vision is:

"To provide agencies with suitable and appropriate housing and a tenancy management service that is equitable, efficient, sustainable and consistent."

With an area of 2.5 million square kilometres, Western Australia is a vast State to service and manage.

The State Government is committed to the effective delivery of public services to people in remote and regional Western Australia. These services are delivered by people - public sector employees, such as teachers, health workers and police.

For many of these workers, moving to the country is a big step. The availability of suitable and appropriate housing is an important consideration. It also plays a role in retaining public servants in regional areas for longer periods of time.

The provision of suitable and appropiate housing is the role of the Government Regional Officers' Housing  (GROH). GROH has been providing housing services to Government employees in WA since 1964. Accommodation is provided to more than 4,000 employees in over 250 locations throughout Western Australia. GROH is the second largest landlord/owner in Western Australia and the largest employee housing provider in Australia.

GROH's Role:
• help departments encourage their employees to relocate to the country by providing suitable and appropriate housing accommodation,
• manage this accommodation, allowing departments to focus on their core business activities, and
• increase the supply and quality of accommodation by attracting private residential property investment.

GROH's Services:
• Attracting investment in new residential construction.
• Securing suitable properties to lease from the private sector.
• Property acquisition through construction and spot purchase.
• Arrange routine and emergency maintenance of owned properties.
• Facilitate routine and emergency maintenance of leased properties.
