 Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce

Consumer scams are crimes of dishonesty such as forgery, counterfeiting, on-line deception and theft that are targeted at everday people who purchase good and services. The Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce is an initiative of the State, Territory, Australia and New Zealand Governments to enhance enforement activity against frauds and scams and promote consumer awareness of how consumers can protect their identity, computers, phones and money.

Tenants Advice Service

Tenants Advice Service (TAS) is a specialist community legal centre providing tenancy information, advice and advocacy, resourcing and support to community workers working with tenants, community education and training, tenancy publications, and advocating for improvements to law and policy for the benefit of tenants in Western Australia.

Landlords Advisory Service

The Landlords Advisory Service offers private landlords an alternative to professional management of rental properties by Real Estate Agents. Their site offers a do-it-yourself management kit helping landlords to successfully and professionally manage their own property. The LAS negotiate the rights and welfare of landlords, assist private landlords manage their own rental properties, and provide on-line phone counselling to assist subscribers with documentation or day-to- day management problems.

The Disability Services Commission writes plans to help people with disabilities, provides services to people with disabilities, their families and carers (such as places to live and people to teach things), provides money for other services for people with disabilities and makes sure the services are good, makes sure people with disabilities can use ordinary services, like everyone else can, and tells other people how they can help people with disabilities.

The Independent Living Centre (ILC) of Western Australia is a non-profit community service organisation which provides impartial, expert advice on equipment, building and design, access and resources for people with disabilities, their advocates, carers and service providers.
